  • COVID-19 Screening Checklist

Parents and guardians can use these symptom checklists to determine when to keep their child home. Any student diagnosed with COVID-19, who is a close contact of a COVID-19 case or someone in the household is asymptomatic and awaiting a PCR-COVID-19 test result, should not go to school and should isolate or quarantine according to public health recommendations.

Colorado Springs School District 11's Mobile App is available for free in the iTunes and Google Play app stores.

The mobile app allows users to sign up for push notifications to receive messages from an individual school or from the school district. In addition, grades are now accessible through the mobile app simply by using your Q Parent Portal login and password information and logging in.

Also available at your fingertips through this new app are the district-wide school calendars. Now, you will never miss an important event happening in District 11 schools!

Wondering what's for breakfast or lunch? Using the Menu icon on the app, users can check breakfast and lunch for the current and upcoming months.

That's not all! Other features on the app include the following: a district-wide directory, a resource section for parents and students, a place to make school payments and check your My School Bucks account balance, social media updates, sports scores and news, and the Parent Portal.

  • Parent/Guardian/Teacher Conferences

It’s hard to believe we are more than halfway through the first quarter of the school year! Despite the challenges of the pandemic, it’s still vital for families to connect with their child’s teacher(s). Parent/Guardian/Teacher conferences will soon be taking place, and although they may be virtual or different than in the past, there are still some things that never change. For starters, be prepared with the questions you have for your child’s teacher(s). Second, be open and honest and share your child’s strengths and weaknesses, letting the teacher know how best to work with your student. Third, keep the lines of communication open and let your child’s teacher(s) know the best way to reach you. Ask the best way to contact them should you have questions or concerns that arise.
