Hello and welcome!  My name is Morgan Wagner, a part time counselor at West Elementary. 

I am extremely excited to be working alongside the mental health team at West to provide your students with the best social-emotional support possible.  As one of your childs’ school counselors, my primary responsibility is to promote the academic, career, and social/emotional development of all students.  I will be meeting with students individually and in small groups, conducting classroom counseling lessons including support for Random Acts of Kindness (RAK), meeting with parents, collaborating with teachers and staff, and consulting with community organizations to benefit and meet the needs of each West Elementary school student.  Here, we believe in equity over equality and that learning is a right for all.  

In my free time I love being in nature: backpacking, gardening, or swimming in new waters. I taught middle school art for five years in western Colorado prior to joining the West team and will find many ways to bring art into the counseling room here.
