Greetings Twain Community,
It is so exciting to be a part the Mark Twain Elementary staff. Much like the neighborhood school that I attended back in Gary, Indiana, Twain is the center of the community. It’s a place where people connect, learn and grow. It is clear that this family is invested in the success of its Tigers!
My journey into education started in 1993 as a high school Art teacher. To this day, I love encouraging students to think creatively. I moved to Colorado in 1997 and decided to study Special Education so that I could understand the unique needs of all students. In 2015, I left teaching to become an Administrator and was able to work with Gifted and Talented students of all ages. My goal has always been to understand the needs off ALL students.
When not teaching, I love to spend time with my husband Paul and my children Courtney, Chase, and Olivia. Paul and I enjoy traveling, going to galleries and running races. We love taking our kids back to the Midwest to hang out in the beach, fish on Lake Michigan and hit up the Art Institute of Chicago.
As your Assistant Principal, I am excited to  meet with you, getting to know each of you personally and becoming a roaring Tiger right along side of you.
