    4th Quarter Learning

    Palmer Returns to In-Person Learning on Tuesday, May 4

    Palmer will return to in-person learning on Tuesday, May 4.

    Please read the following notice from Principal Lara Disney:

    Palmer family,
    We learned late today (Monday, April 26) that we will need to move to remote learning immediately. So, starting tomorrow, April 27, we will be on remote learning. Buses will not run and the building will not be open. Sports teams and after school activities have already been notified. Students will engage in learning during their regularly scheduled classes. Remote learning will be in effect through Monday, May 3. Students and staff will return to in-person teaching and learning on Tuesday, May 4.

    Prom, originally scheduled for Friday, April 30 will be rescheduled to a a date AFTER graduation. As soon as we solidify the date with the venue, we will share that information. Please note that our Palmer Prom MAY NEED TO OCCUR DURING THE WEEK. While not preferred, we will need to see what dates are available. We are committed to hosting a Prom event this year, so we will remain flexible.

    The IB Senior Celebration will be moved to May 4 when we return to in-person learning.

    Cap and Gown distribution will also be moved to May 4. Yearbooks purchased by seniors will also be available on May 4.

    I understand that this may be frustrating for students and their families. Our priority to provide a safe learning environment continues.

    Updated Monday Bell and Class Schedule for 4th Quarter

    Each Monday will be a late start day for students. Classes will begin at 9:45 a.m. Busses will run later on Mondays and students will arrive on campus by 9:30 a.m. our bell and class schedule has been updated. On Mondays lunch is tied ot your period 4 teachers. 

    The schedule on Tuesday through Friday will remain unchanged - block schedule as it has been all year. Lunch on these days is tied to your period 3 and period 7 teachers.

    In-Person Learning Information

    Things in-person students should bring:

    • A mask (to be worn at ALL times inside buildings)
    • Laptop
    • Charger
    • Water bottle
    • Headphones
    • Student ID

    Use your school email address (firstname.lastname@d11.org) as the username and your network password to authenticate that you are a Palmer student.

    Student’s schedules will be visible. Click the class period and look for instructions from your teacher.
