    As the area’s central city school district, D11 is addressing current building maintenance challenges to provide equitable learning opportunities for future generations of children. Hear about how these innovative plans will help improve Midland Elementary, along with all other D11 schools, and how our future depends on your support.

  • CALLING ALL KINDERGARTEN, 1ST GRADERS AND 2ND GRADERS!

    It’s time for Midland’s Summer Bridge Program!

    Dear Midland Families, after such a crazy year, we wanted to give our younger students the chance to come to our Summer Bridge Program here at Midland to continue their learning in a fun and different way! Students will get to practice their literacy and math skills, while also having fun with an hour of art every day, science projects, fun Fridays, and much more! We can’t wait to explore new learning and practice our learning from this year as we gear up for our new grades next

    The Summer Bridge Program will run  from June 7th through July 2nd  Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 1:00pm.

    Please review the attached document.  Before you send your child to school we need you to screen them for symptoms.  If your child is sick please keep them at home.  Please call the office to report all absences.  All students will be required to wear a mask.

    PURPOSE:  Provide a student-centered curriculum that is both challenging and relevant in a safe, nurturing learning environment.  

    Midland International Elementary offers students a strong reading, writing and mathematics foundation in a nurturing environment.  We honor individual learning and offer many opportunities for students to take action as they make the world a better place.  We provide 1:1 computers for students in grades 3-5.  Students participate in Spanish, Music, Art and Technology classes.  MIES is tucked away on the Westside of Colorado Springs and we would love for you and your children to come and take a tour of our building!
