    *If you already have a child in grades k-5 attending Henry, there is no need to re-enroll.  The enrollment process is for incoming Kindergarteners and new students coming in from outside schools and/or districts.

    Please see the important letter attached regarding COVID-19 and our school.

    We have recently discovered that students and/or staff members at our school have tested positive for COVID-19.  Due to us not having adequate staff coverage, all students and staff will need to transition to FULLY REMOTE LEARNING STARTING TOMORROW Friday March 5th, 2021.

    Students that were in direct contact with the individual(s) diagnosed with COVID-19 have been informed to quarantine.

    At this time, we are planning to return to school on Wednesday March 10th.  If we need to remain remote past that date, you will be notified.

    Please read the attached letter in its entirety and contact the school with any questions or concerns.

    With so many things changing at such a quick pace, it is now more important than ever to make sure that the line of communication between school and home is clear.

    Our school will always send/post important school updates in multiple ways:

    • Via Class Dojo
    • Website Announcement
    • Email
    • D11 App Notification
    • School Newsletter

    Please understand that it is the Parents responsibility to make sure that the school has correct and up-to-date contact information.  Please be sure to connect with our school on Class Dojo and to check you email regularly.  If you are not checking these sources you are missing out on importatant and sometimes vital information regarding your students. 

    If you need to update your contact info (phone number, email address), please contact our Front Office staff @ 719-328-7200. 

    If you need to be connected on Dojo, you will need to contact your child's teacher directly.  Teacher/staff email addresses can be found on our school website in the "Contacts" section under "Staff Directory."

    We are so excited to have our Patriots back in the building! It’s wonderful to see everyone and be back to in-person learning. Our goal at Henry is to maintain a high level of cleanliness, keep everyone safe, and keep our students in school! Please read over the following reminders and safety protocols:

    Parent Entry: Due to D11 safety protocols, parents are not allowed to enter the building. If you need office assistance, you are allowed to come to the front office to speak with Ms. Dani, but you may not go through the building to walk children to and from class. If you need to schedule a meeting, we are happy to do that via WebEx.

    Mondays at-home: Mondays will be asynchronous at-home learning days for all elementary students in an effort to give teachers and classroom educators time to plan for both in-person and online learners. Please note that students will work at home virtually every Monday for the rest of the school year.

    Please use the home health screening guidance before sending your children to school.

    Should you send your child to school? If any of the following symptoms are present, keep the child at home and inform the school of symptoms immediately. Reach out to a health care provider about Covid -19 testing and next steps for treatment.

    - Feeling feverish
    - Chills
    - Temp of 100.4 or higher
    - New or unexplained persistent cough
    - Shortness of breath
    - Difficulty breathing
    - Loss of taste or smell
    - Fatigue
    - Muscle aches
    - Headache
    - Sore Throat
    - Nausea or vomiting
    - Diarrhea
    - Runny nose or congestion

    Any student diagnosed with COVID-19, who is a close contact of a COVID -19 case, or someone in the household is symptomatic and awaiting a PCR-COVID 19 test result, should not go to school and should isolate or quarantine according to public health recommendations.

    It’s an exciting time in D11 as we look to the future and plan a journey for years to come! You may know D11 has embarked on new Academic and Facilities master plans.
