I was born and raised in Colorado. I am the youngest of 5, I have two brothers and two sisters, and I have three nephews and a niece.

I moved to Colorado Springs for college where I attended the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS). I earned a B.A. in Mathematics with a certification in secondary education. I earned a M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction specializing in secondary math education from CU Denver.
