I am thrilled to be working with the young musicians at Martinez! Music has always been my passion, and I love being able to share that with my students. I believe that the arts make our world a better place and that every child should have access to music education. Through music, I hope to help each of my students grow and discover more about themselves and their unique talents and passions.

I bring a wide variety of experience to my classroom. A versatile musician and performer, I have studied piano, voice, and brass. Tuba is my specialty, and I enjoy teaching private lessons and playing in ensembles, including brass band, concert band, and orchestra. I also love to sing, starting my choral career at age 11 as a member of the Colorado Springs Children’s Chorale and singing in many school and community choirs since then. When I am not in the classroom in the summer, I enjoy performing and teaching in more relaxed settings and have been a regular member of the staff at the Dorian Summer Music Festival at Luther College for each of the past five years.
