Hi, I am Katie Ackerman and I am the Teacher and Learning Coach at Midland Elementary. Before moving to this position, I taught at West Elementary as a Kindergarten, 1^st Grade and 2^nd Grade teacher. This is my tenth year working in District 11. I currently have a Bachelor’s degree in Literature, a Master’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Reading Assessment and Curriculum.

I have one daughter that keeps me very busy with all sorts of activities. I enjoy crocheting, gardening, kayaking and camping. I love working with children and supporting teachers in schools.
