-
D-11 Tesla High School 20-21 Summer Sessions for Credit Recovery
Expectations and Information
Please provide a copy of your students IEP or 504 to helen.blowe@d11.org or fax to 719-328-3101 as soon as possible so we can plan for your students’ accommodations.
The schedule requires that all students attend all classes on time and everyday due to the concentration of instruction. It is advisable not to sign up for summer school if work hours, family vacations or appointments conflict with summer school days or hours. Please read the following attendance policy and contact us with any questions. 719-328-3110 or 719-328-3120
Tardy = .5 Attendance Penalty Point Absence = 1 Attendance Penalty Point
Any accumulation of absences and/or tardies that total more than 1.5 penalty points may result in credit not being awarded.
Students provide their own transportation and may park in the north parking lot on Maizeland. Campus security has been instructed not to allow students to remain in vehicles for any reason. Some busing will be available from area D11 Schools.
All District 11 campuses are non-smoking. District 11 Student Conduct Discipline Code and Dress Code will be enforced. Students who have been expelled from any school are not eligible to enroll during the expulsion period.
If a student is withdrawn from a class for attendance or disciplinary reasons, the student may not receive credit for the course and will forfeit all fees paid.
Students need to come prepared to learn, participate in a positive manner, and complete all work satisfactorily in order to earn credit for the course(s).
All computers, books, and supplies must be returned to the school; all damage fees owed to the school must be paid; all obligations must be met before credit(s) for the courses(s) are released to the student’s home school.
Refunds only happen if a student provides proof of passing the class they thought they needed to take summer school for or if the class is canceled due to a lack of enrollment.
A counselor, principal, assistant principal, or registrar, must approve summer school courses you are enrolled in. If classes have not been approved by your school official, you will not be enrolled or may not receive credit for the classes. Make sure the chosen classes are 1. Classes you failed in the past (The classes we offer are for credit recovery only.) and 2. Classes are approved and selected by your school counselor, principal, assistant principal, or registrar. Email your counselor or make an appointment for class selection. Then use the link below to complete your enrollment form.
